‘Levende IJssel’
50 drawings to portray just a fraction of the wonderful more-than-human lives connected to the river IJssel
I created this work specially for the JongerenTop IJssel 2025: a conference that facilitated a space for young adults, policymakers and other professionals in the field of river remediation to come together and discuss meaningful actions.
During this conference the voices of various generations were wonderfully represented. In addition to those human voices, this piece provided a visual reminder of the more-than-human voices that require our consideration and representation just as much. The future of the IJssel river is indissolubly tied to all of us.
